The beta version of the Brave Payments payment tool has been launched.
The developer of the open-source web browser Brave with such features as the built-in ad blocker and the wallet for Basic Attention Token (BAT) tokens Brave Software began testing a feature that allows users to receive a small amount in BAT. By default, advertisements are blocked in Brave but users can choose to leave the blocker on or view, as claimed by the developers, «few relevant ads several times each day». The participants of the testing will receive an amount in BAT accounting for 70% of the company's advertising revenue. In this case, the browsing history will be sent to Brave Software.
In April Brave Software announced that it was starting to cooperate with the Dow Jones Media Group. The vice president of the Dow Jones Media Group Daniel Bernard called the partnership with Brave «an exciting and innovative step».
The Brave Software Company founded by people who came from Mozilla, was recently named in The Wall Street Journal as one of five blockchain-projects that should be considered this year.
